Expo Hunt with Cruise Prize

Experience and win. The Halloween & Party Expo announces a new promotional opportunity to help attendees experience the new enhancements featured at the 2012 show in Houston, Texas, January 28-31. Throughout the four-day trade show, attendees will have the chance to participate in a scavenger hunt through each of the featured show enhancements where answer to simple questions can earn a chance to win the grand prize of a one-week cruise vacation.

Attendees can pick up the official scavenger hunt answer form at registration or any of the featured enhancement areas. Each area will feature a prominent QR code which can be scanned by any barcode-reading application available on any smartphone. Upon scanning these barcodes, attendees will be directed to a website with a simple question regarding the usefulness or benefit of the area. Through this process, the show seeks to engage attendee use of all the great features available at the Halloween & Party Expo that could be missed in the hustle and bustle of order-writing and networking. For participants without smartphones, a URL will be listed alongside each QR code, which they can access on computers available at the show’s Social Media Café.

No more than 10 locations will be featured and the scavenger hunt may be completed in any order at the participant’s own pace between the Expo opening on Saturday, January 28, and 12 p.m. Tuesday, January 31. Due to the possibility of conflicting departure flights, participants are not required to be present at the announcement of the winner. However, to encourage attendees to visit these areas leisurely and intermittently throughout the Expo, the completed scavenger hunt answer form may not be submitted until Tuesday morning.

Completed forms must be submitted between 10 a.m. and noon Tuesday and will be entered into a random drawing for the grand prize of a week-long cruise vacation, departing from the winner's nearest port-of-call. Each attendee may submit only one answer form.
