BOOTH DISPLAY RULES AND REGULATIONS: 
Extended DEADLINE - January 5th!
The Halloween and Party Expo follows the booth display rules and regulations set by the International Association for Exhibition and Events (IAEE) to promote continuity and consistency among exhibitions. The goal of the rules is to ensure that the expo provides the most equitable atmosphere for conducting business for each Exhibitor. Please check out the rules and regulations below to determine if your current booth design conflicts with the regulations. If it does conflict, please fill out a Variance Form detailing the discrepancies between your booth and the guidelines.

FIRE MARSHAL GUIDELINES: 
Extended DEADLINE - January 5th! 
In addition, the George R. Brown Convention Center and City of Houston’s Fire Marshal require strict adherence to fire-related regulations.
1. If your booth has a canopy, please indicate this on the
Variance Form as well. Remember that you must have a fire extinguisher in your booth to meet the city’s fire standards. 
2. If your booth has hard walls that require exiting by a door, please also provide us renderings for the fire marshal to ensure we do not have any exit concerns by the fire marshal when the expo opens in January.

EXHIBITOR APPOINTED CONTRACTOR: 
DEADLINE - January 9th!
Exhibitors using outside services other than the official show contractors as listed in the Exhibit Service Kit, including any installation and dismantling company, sound and lighting firm, production or promotion company, photographer, florist or any person or company providing direct services, must complete the EAC Application Form and submit it to Halloween & Party Expo by Friday, January 9, 2009. The contractor must also show proof of a commercial general insurance policy for at least $1M per occurrence and at least $2M in the annual aggregate; plus at least $1M automobile liability insurance for any owned, non-owned or hired autos. Halloween & Party Expo, CDS and the George R. Brown Convention Center must be named as “additional insured” on Exhibitor Appointed Contractor policies. The contractor shall also have current worker’s compensation insurance in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Copies of such endorsements must be sent by the insurance carrier, exhibitor or contractor to Halloween & Party Expo in order for a contractor to operate in the exhibit hall.

INSURANCE: 
DEADLINE - January 9th!
As required in the Expo’s contract with the George R. Brown Convention Center Contract, we must obtain proof of insurance from exhibitors and any contractor they hire to assemble their booth. You should be able to obtain a “Certificate of Insurance” through your own insurance company naming the center and expo as additional insureds on the certificate. Please fax in a copy of your "Certificate of Insurance" by January 9th to 1.866.826.0250.

However, if you prefer, you can purchase insurance through Novick Group, a company that provides the show coverage. Through ShowGuardTM , Novick can provide exhibitors online access to required coverage except Worker.  Insurance will include $1M Commercial General Liability and $1M Automobile Liability from a carrier with no less than A VIII rating in the current AM Best's. The George R. Brown Convention Center and Halloween & Party Expo and will appear as additional insureds on each certificate. Premium expense is approximately $80 per 10 x 10 exhibit booth (unless the booth is occupied by more than one exhibitor, since separate insurance is required of each exhibitor).  Online enrollment will take approximately five minutes. You should have already received a copy of the exhibitor kit for the show.  If you still do not have a copy, you can download the kit by clicking on this link.
